Leslie Banker is a decorator and a writer based between New York and Rhode Island. After working as a journalist for most of her twenties, Leslie joined Pamela Banker Associates, her mother’s New York-based interior design firm, in 1999 for what was intended to be a short-term project. Ten years, two books on interior design, and a priceless hands-on education later, Leslie launched her own decorating firm, Leslie Banker Designs.

Leslie works with clients to create elegant yet practical interiors that reflect the client’s personality and vision. Raised on classic design, Leslie mixes styles and rich colors with ease to create individual rooms that are comfortably chic.

Empire Delicious is a daily design and lifestyle blog written by Leslie featuring ideas and inspiration for decorating, entertaining, travel, and art. The Empire Delicious on-line shop is a collection of accessories to encourage a lifestyle of playful elegance.

Leslie is the co-author of The Pocket Decorator (Universe, 2004), The Pocket Renovator (Universe, 2007), and Britannia in Brief: The Scoop on All Things British (Ballantine, 2009). She’s written for Elle Décor, Architectural Digest, Interior Design, and Edible Rhody among other publications.
